Description
In partnership with Jack Daniel’s, the 2024 ‘Live to Vinyl’ series saw four of the UK’s most exciting acts—Ezra Collective, Pale Waves, Maverick Sabre, and Nova Twins—step into Studio A for an extraordinary challenge. Performing live in front of an intimate audience of 30 lucky competition winners at each show, the artists recorded two tracks directly to lacquer (vinyl) in a process that demands perfection and captures raw, unfiltered artistry.
This documentary celebrates the timeless craft of vinyl recording, brought to life through the passion and innovation of all involved. I don’t often step into the director hot seat, but I couldn’t miss a chance to showcase the magic of music captured in its purest form.
This has been my first project with Jack Daniel’s, and excited it’s in collaboration with on of my long standing clients Metropolis Studios. Working amongst some of the best musical minds in the UK has allowed us to create a genuine and wholesome documentary. Given that the nature of the film revolves around vinyl and its legacy, I wanted to represent the history of vinyl visually, giving our documentary a raw and unfiltered image.
